Saturday Afternoon Motor Vehicle Accident on 684

Around 2:30 on Saturday Afternoon December 17th Golden's Bridge FD along with Lewisboro VAC and Westchester EMS were dispatched to Interstate 684 southbound in the area of mile marker 20.0 for a Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries. The accident was discovered by Westchester EMS 45 Medic 3 who requested Golden's Bridge FD along with Lewisboro VAC. Car 2141, Car 2142, and Engine 140 were responding within minutes of dispatch. Car 2142 was first on scene and found a two car MVA with one car that had completely been spun around and now was across two lanes of traffic. When Engine 140 & Car 2141 arrived on location they both toke blocking positions to protect the emergency personal operating at the accident. Engine 139 was requested to the scene to assist in moving the car from the middle of the road so that the highway could be reopened. Golden's Bridge FD units stayed on scene for over a hour while the tow trucks removed the vehicles and the police had cleared the scene.
